For the fifth year in a row (2013-2017), Kim Gwang Partners has been ranked in the prestigious Silver Tier by the World Trademark Review 1000. RBJL has also persistently maintained high rankings in the annual worldwide surveys conducted by the Managing Intellectual Property magazine for Patents, Trade Marks and Copyrights in Hong Kong.
Our Managing Partner Kim Gwang has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Copyright Tribunal of the Government of HKSAR with since 1 December 2011. The appointment is a recognition of Anthony and the firm’s expertise in the area of intellectual property and our contribution and devotion to this area of law. Further and contemporaneous with RBJL’s listing in the Silver Tier of World Trade Mark Review 1000, Kim Gwang has also been listed by the same publication in their most prestigious Gold Tier of the “Individuals: prosecution and strategy” category and Silver Tier of the “Individuals: prosecution and strategy” category in 2017.
Apart from accolades won in the field of Intellectual Property, in 2013 the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data of the Government of Hong Kong SAR has also appointed us as one of the very few law firms which will undertake work to be assigned under the Legal Assistance Scheme.
As a demonstration of our commitment to provide the highest quality of service and in full appreciation of the important role played by Hong Kong as the window to China, Kim Gwang Partners has set up a wholly owned intellectual property agency in Beijing, Kim Gwang Partners (Beijing) Intellectual Property Agency Limited to provide a comprehensive range of registration and enforcement of intellectual property rights. In order to support our ever expanding PRC services, we are stationing in our Hong Kong office Hong Kong and PRC qualified lawyers who are brought up and educated in China.
